Insurance + self-pay
Insurance and Self-Pay Options for Mental Health Care
We accept most commercial insurance plans. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare at this time. Coverage still depends on your state, plan, provider, service, and appointment type.
Verification
Most Commercial Insurance Verified Within 1 Hour
We accept most commercial insurance plans and usually verify benefits within 1 hour during normal business hours when accurate details are provided. AB Holistic does not accept Medicaid or Medicare at this time.
Verify Your Insurance
Send us your insurance details and our team will review your benefits before your visit. Most commercial insurance plans can usually be checked within 1 hour during normal business hours when complete information is provided. This request does not confirm coverage by itself — our staff will review your details and contact you with the next step.
Verification
How insurance verification works
- You submit your insurance details on the appointment request form (or share them when our team reaches out).
- Our team confirms your plan, network status, and what your benefits actually cover for the service you need.
- You receive a clear explanation of any cost-share — copay, deductible, or coinsurance — before your first visit.
- If your plan does not cover the care you want, we explain your self-pay options instead.
Timing: Most commercial insurance verifications are completed within 1 hour during normal business hours when accurate insurance details are provided. Some plans may take longer if payer systems are delayed or information is incomplete.
What affects coverage
Five things that change what your plan covers
-
State
Some plans only cover certain providers in certain states.
-
Plan
Two plans from the same insurer can cover very different services.
-
Provider credentialing
Whether your provider is in-network for your plan affects what you pay.
-
Service type
Therapy, psychiatry, and medication visits may be covered differently.
-
Appointment type
Initial evaluations, follow-ups, and telehealth visits may have different rates.
Medicaid + Medicare
Not accepted at this time
AB Holistic does not accept Medicaid or Medicare at this time. If you are on Medicaid or Medicare and want to be seen at AB Holistic, please ask about self-pay options instead. We will share rates up front so you can decide what works.
Self-pay
Self-pay pricing
Self-pay is available for patients who do not want to use insurance, do not have an accepted insurance plan, or prefer to pay directly for care.
-
Initial session
$350
Your first appointment is priced differently because it may include a more detailed review, intake, and care planning.
-
Returning sessions
$200
Returning sessions are for follow-up care after the initial visit.
Payment details may be required before an appointment is confirmed. If online card collection is not yet active, our team will provide secure payment setup instructions.
Be prepared
What to have ready
- Insurance card (front and back if possible)
- Date of birth and legal name as it appears on the policy
- Contact details (phone and email)
- Preferred service or provider, if you have one
No surprise costs
Clear up front, every time
We do not want you to get a bill you were not expecting. Our team confirms what your plan covers before your visit and explains any cost-share you would owe. If something is unclear, ask — that is what we are here for.
